Join Cornellians on Cornell Cares with Chicago Animal Care and Control!
Your visit will include:

  • an introduction to Chicago Animal Care and Control and Safe Humane Chicago (SHC is the organization that hosts these groups within the shelter)
  • an overview of the services and programs that we provide
  • a chance to do some work for the shelter such as fixing equipment or cleaning toys
  • a chance to meet some of our dogs and cats
  • and some time spent doing what we call In Kennel Enrichment.

Participants should wear comfy clothes, appropriate for indoor and outdoor work and contact with muddy paws, slobber, etc.

Donations- such as newspapers, old blankets/towels, small training treats and other pet supplies- are always appreciated.
