The Heard Museum is the foremost showcase of Native American art and
culture in the U.S. Join the Cornell Club of Arizona for a docent- led
45 minute – 1 hour tour through the Home: Native People in the Southwest
exhibit.
This exhibit showcases the Heard Museum’s most prized masterpieces,
sweeping landscapes, poetry, and personal recollections. The collection
includes nearly 2,000 treasures such as jewelry, cultural items,
pottery, baskets, textiles, beadwork, and 500 Hopi katsina dolls from
the Goldwater and Fred Harvey Company collections.
After the tour, peruse the rest of the museum at your leisure. Enjoy the many exhibits and outdoor sculptures.
Visit with your Cornell colleagues and make new friends.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at their Cantina with Southwest-inspired cuisine
within the museum’s Spanish Colonial- style courtyard (self pay for
lunch).
Take home a unique souvenir from their fabulous gift shop.
