CAAA is excited to share the fun side of a very social sport—golf! After all, the best part of the game isn’t the score, it’s the people you meet along the way.

Join fellow Cornellians for the CAAA Pitch and Putt Social at Flushing Meadows Pitch & Putt in Queens—near Citi Field—for a relaxed afternoon of golf open to all skill levels. Pitch & Putt is shorter and more casual than a full course, making it a fun, low-pressure way to play or give golf a try.

It’s a game that blends focus and play—observing, problem-solving, and using fine motor skills, mixed with conversation, encouragement, and a little playful banter. Calmness under pressure and a good sense of humor are the best skills to bring to the course.

The event will focus on pitching (mid-distance shots of 50+ yards) and putting. If you’ve played mini golf, pitch and putt is the natural next step toward a full golf game. Our goal is to make golf open and welcoming for everyone.

• $8 online registration (required) – reserves your spot and includes a Cornell-branded golf ball to use during play and keep as a souvenir.
• Additional fees are due on-site at the venue (per person):
  • $24.50 – 18-hole course fee
  • $4.50 – Club rental (2 required per person)

Space is limited to 15 participants, so early registration is encouraged.

Previous golf experience and equipment are not required and CAAA welcomes participants of all backgrounds who are interested in starting (or polishing) their golf skills to join us. The expected play time is 2-3 hours, depending on group pace and course crowd.
