A Wild Adventure Awaits at the Bronx Zoo!
Come join us for a memorable spring day at the Bronx Zoo! You’ll get the chance to meet and greet Matthew Gazzola ’23, a keeper in the Mammal Department and then explore the zoo at your own pace! This event is perfect for families, animal lovers, and anyone who wants to experience the Bronx Zoo like never before!
Due to an overwhelming response, we’re moving Matthew Gazzola ’23’s in-person presentation to a virtual format, which means even more of you can participate! The virtual session will take place on Tuesday, May 27, and you can register for it here. We hope you’ll join us online for this exciting experience!

Location: The Bronx Zoo – 2300 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY 10460 | Please enter through the Southern Boulevard Gate
Bronx Zoo Admission Costs: *$34.96 per adult, $26.96 per child (ages 3-12), $33.36 per senior (ages 65+)
*Please note: Ticket prices were slightly increased by the Bronx Zoo as of May 8, 2025. Due to their flex pricing model, rates may continue to rise as your visit date approaches. We recommend purchasing early to secure the lowest price.

Please note that parking is an additional charge of $22 per vehicle, payable upon entry. For buses, the parking fee is $24 per vehicle. Accepted payment methods for parking: cash, credit, or debit cards. Parking on the Southern Boulevard Lot is available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that if the Southern Boulevard Lot is filled, then you may be redirected to another lot.

About Matthew Gazzola ’23
Matthew Gazzola is a Wild Animal Keeper in the Mammal Department at the Bronx Zoo, working primarily in the Congo Gorilla Forest and Madagascar. He works with a plethora of species, including gorillas, okapis, lemurs, sea lions, and more. After graduating from Cornell in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Matthew completed a six-month fellowship program in the Bronx Zoo’s Mammal Department and was promoted to a full-time keeper upon its conclusion.
He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Biology through Miami University’s Advanced Inquiry Program, which is based at the zoo. Matthew enjoys sharing his passion for wildlife and for the Bronx Zoo with others and hopes to inspire people to get involved in the zoo’s mission of saving species worldwide.
