About the Event
This free event includes cultural performances from students and global alumni performers, multiple dinner and drink offerings, a silent auction, and a keynote address by our honoree, Ming Tsai. Ming Tsai will be doing a cook along, and will teach us how to make his new bings from MingsBings. You can order the kit here! Proceeds from ticket sales, donations, silent auction, and the Harney and Sons custom yellow tea blend will all go towards funding the CAAA undergraduate scholarship program.
The Cornell University Press, as a special bonus, is providing free reading to everyone who registers for our 2021 Virtual Pan-Asian Celebration! Expect great selections from their deep Asian Studies collection. More details will be available soon.

Chef Ming Tsai’s MingsBings Set: $60.00 (sold through their website here)
What’s in the set: A set of 12 or 24 veggie-filled bings, with 8 superfood ingredients. Bings from this set will be featured in Chef Ming’s cook along during the event, as well as a dipping sauce for the bings. Ingredient list is on the Mingsbings website, and ingredients for the dipping sauce will be released ahead of the event date.
For Students: CAAA has partnered with Cornell Catering to provide a special meal to students for the Pan Asian Celebration on campus!
What’s included:
Vegetarian: Tofu Lo Mein, Asian Vegetables with kimchee dumplings, Salad with Sesame Ginger dressing and a Lunar New Year Cake
Non-Vegetarian: Pork Lo Mein, Asian Vegetables with kimchee dumplings, Salad with Sesame Ginger dressing and a Lunar New Year Cake
Meals will be available for pickup at all satellite locations (Williard Straight Hall, Noyes, Appel, and RPCC) on Friday, February 19th from 11:30am – 2:00pm, and from Noyes, Appel, and RPCC from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
Please note that all meals are served chilled. They can be eaten cold, but are best when reheated. All meals can be ordered through the GET app, and cost a standard meal swipe.

Curated by Susan Guerin ‘83 of World Finer Foods, this eight-piece dinner kit has all the ingredients necessary to make a robust stir fry at home.
What’s in the box: Cellophane Noodles, Chinese Mixed Vegetables, Ty Ling Baby Corn and Bean Sprouts, Sesame Sauce, Sesame Oil, Chinese BBQ Glaze, and a recipe for Ty Ling Stir Fry.

To honor Chef Ming Tsai ‘89, Michael Harney ‘77 of Harney and Sons Fine Teas has created a custom Yellow Tea blend.
All proceeds from the Custom Cornell blend will be donated to our CAAA student scholarships, and CAAA would like to thank Mike for his continued generosity and support.
The Souvenirs
Donations of all levels are appreciated for our annual event. Every little bit counts towards raising money for the student scholarships, and here are some of the ways we would like to thank you for your support this year:
At donation levels of $50 dollars and above: attendees will receive a customized event mask, with the CAAA 2021 Pan Asian Celebration event logo printed.
At donation levels of 150 dollars and above: attendees will receive customized CAAA chopsticks, white print on dark wood, as well as the custom event mask.
At all donation levels: Thanks to the generosity of the Cornell University Press, all attendees will gain access to a curated selection of 10 free books from their Asian Studies selection. Full book list and access information will be sent out to registrants prior to the event.

Ming Tsai is the James Beard Award-winning chef/owner of Blue Dragon in Massachusetts and his latest venture BABA at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. An Emmy Award-winner, Ming hosts PBS-TV’s Simply Ming, now in its seventeenth season. Ming is the author of five cookbooks: Blue Ginger: East Meets West Cooking with Ming Tsai, Simply Ming, Ming’s Master Recipes, Simply Ming One-Pot Meals and Simply Ming In Your Kitchen.
