By Cornellians staff Photography courtesy of Riney Canine Heath Center If you're a fan of all things canine, you may have tuned in to the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which marked its 150th year in 2026. And if so, you probably know that a four-year-old Doberman pinscher called Penny—full name, "GCHP CH ConnQuest Best of Both Worlds"—won the top honor. But did you know that your alma mater is the show's official veterinary provider? CVM has served in the role since 2019; it's a collaboration by its Riney Canine Health Center, Cornell University Hospital for Animals, and Cornell University Veterinary Specialists. (The first two are based in Ithaca and the latter in Stamford, CT.) This year, the event—which includes competitions not just in conformation but agility and more—was held at Manhattan's Javitz Convention Center in early February. And as in past years, CVM brought a photographer, who snapped hundreds of images throughout the long weekend. The hard part for us dog lovers here at Cornellians? Picking just a couple of dozen to share with you. Scroll down for a pup-tastic Big Red tour of Westminster! Reply Bailey, Class of 1980 16 Feb, 2026 It reminds me of how dogs used to run free on the campus. Mr Weill also allowed dogs to walk freely in the Armonk site when he was running Citigroup.
