With Online Clothing Business, Nigerian-Born Alum Gives Back A photographic look at the popular annual event, in which the creative work of student designers is on vivid display in Barton Hall By Cornellians staff Photography by Devin Flores & Ryan Young Each spring, the iconic East Hill building usually devoted to athletics and ROTC is transformed into a fashion mecca, as student designers showcase their work—with their peers serving as models. The 2026 Cornell Fashion Collective’s Spring Runway Show was—as always—a standing-room-only affair, as supporters packed Barton Hall to view the dozens of creative ensembles. The 42nd annual show, held on a Saturday night in mid-March, featured the work of 42 students, including full collections by nine seniors. Their inspirations ranged from classic children's books like Where the Wild Things Are to traditional Korean neighborhoods to the pigeons of NYC.
