A plant-focused design firm, Thicket Workshop crafts ecological landscapes and gardens in Ithaca, NY, and across the region.

We work at a variety of scales—from reimagining a family’s front yard as a pollinator bonanza, to planting a savanna on a city lot, to developing a plan for biodiverse habitat hedgerows on a 50-acre farm.

A commitment to ecology and allowing other species to thrive shapes our work. Plants can offer solutions: for habitat, for storm water, for cooling, for erosion. We also aim to spark wonder, curiosity, and joy—connecting people and plants, at home and in public spaces.
