We strive to make Cornell Reunion accessible to all Cornellians, family, and friends returning to the Hill to celebrate. Should you have specific questions or concerns, please contact Hazel Key in the Office of Alumni Affairs at class_reunion@cornell.edu or 607-255-7085.

Arriving on campus

For class and group-specific arrival and parking recommendations, please visit your class or group page.

  • What if I have accessible parking needs?

All state or municipally issued mobility placards that you normally use in your vehicle will be honored on campus at Reunion. You may park in all accessible spaces using your placard, unless the space is reserved for a specific license plate. If you are renting a vehicle and do not have your mobility placard with you, you may visit our Reunion Staff Headquarters located in the Robert Purcell Community Center (RPCC) on North Campus to request a temporary Cornell-issued placard.

  • What if I need assistance getting from parking areas to my on-campus housing?

Cornell Alumni Affairs contracts with CU Lift to provide accessible transport to and from parking areas and event locations throughout Reunion. Signage with a contact phone number will be prominently displayed in main parking areas on North and West Campus near residence halls, including A-Lot (behind the Townhouses), Appel Parking Lot (Cradit Farm Dr.), and University Ave. Lot (near the corner of University and Stewart Avenues on West Campus). Guests can call 607-255-7085 to arrange transport during Reunion weekend. Rides cannot be scheduled ahead of noon on Thursday, June 4.

Navigating campus

  • Can Cornell rent motorized scooters or provide companions to help me get around?

Unfortunately, no. For safety and liability reasons, Cornell cannot rent motorized equipment such as scooters or golf carts for individual use. Guthrie Medical Supply may have motorized scooters available should you wish to rent one. They can be reached at 607-273-4727. Cornell has a limited number of push wheelchairs available for use. Should you require a push wheelchair, please contact Hazel Key in the Office of Alumni Affairs at class_reunion@cornell.edu or 607-255-7085.

  • Can Cornell help me get to and from campus locations throughout Reunion?

Yes! Cornell Alumni Affairs has several ride services available. CU Lift can provide on-demand ride service throughout Reunion. This vehicle includes a ramp for wheelchair access. Rides may be scheduled by calling Reunion Staff Headquarters at 607-255-7085. We request 30 minutes’ advanced notice to ensure ride service to your destination in a timely manner.

Cornell Alumni Affairs also hires van drivers to operate rental vehicles to assist guests who do not require accessible transportation but who are not comfortable boarding a coach bus. Like accessible transportation ride services, requests may be made by calling Reunion Staff Headquarters at 607-255-7085. We request 30 minutes’ advanced notice to ensure ride service to your destination in a timely manner.

  • I am bringing my own vehicle. How can I identify accessible parking across campus?

Though parking during Reunion is at a premium, state, municipal, and university-issued accessible parking permits will be honored in all accessible parking spaces across campus except for license plate-specific parking spots. A map of accessible parking locations can be found HERE. Please be sure to check the “Accessible Spaces” checkbox in the Layers legend on the left side of the page. If you are interested in parking and accessible paths and entrances, please click the “path of travel” to view parking spaces, accessible routes, and entrances.

Lodging on campus

  • I have special medical or mobility needs. Is it practical for me to stay in the residence halls?

In many cases, yes! A limited number of accessible residence hall rooms are available on campus. You can share medical or mobility needs as part of your housing registration. Please contact Hazel Key in the Office of Alumni Affairs at class_reunion@cornell.edu or 607-255-7085 with specific questions or concerns.

  • I am attending Reunion with a caregiver/companion. What lodging options are available?

Residence hall locations are a combination of single, double, and suite-style occupancy rooms. Guests with medical and mobility needs are prioritized for a double room configuration during the room assignment process. Due to a limited number of double rooms, there is no guarantee of a double-occupancy room allocation. Please be as specific as possible when registering for Reunion, or contact Hazel Key in the Office of Alumni Affairs at class_reunion@cornell.edu or 607-255-7085 to share specific questions or concerns.

  • Are service animals allowed on campus?

Cornell University complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and New York State Human Rights Law in allowing and welcoming service animals on campus.

Attending events during Reunion

  • I require assistive listening devices to help me enjoy programming. What options are available to me?

Please indicate on your registration form if you need an assistive listening device or if you need any assistance to participate in educational programs offered during Reunion. Many (but not all) lecture halls have Infrared (IR) systems that may or may not be compatible with a person’s hearing aid. Please specify how we might assist you with assistive listening when registering for Reunion, or contact Hazel Key in the Office of Alumni Affairs at class_reunion@cornell.edu or 607-255-7085.

  • I am a nursing parent. How can I identify lactation rooms across campus?

Please visit https://blogs.cornell.edu/lactationrooms/ to learn more about lactation rooms across campus. View an interactive Ithaca Campus Map that shows Lactation Room locations (click on ‘Facilities’ then ‘Lactation Rooms’).

  • I prefer to navigate campus as independently as possible. Can you help me identify recommended paths of travel?

A map of accessible paths of travel, entrances, and parking is available HERE. This map will help you understand where parking spaces, accessible routes, and accessible entrances are located on campus.  If you have questions, please indicate on your form or contact accessibility@cornell.edu.

  • I require a single-occupancy restroom. How can I locate these on campus?

There is a map of accessible single-occupant toilet rooms available HERE.  Please click on the top tab, and all of the accessible and single-use toilet rooms will display on the map.
