MEDITATION IN MOTION
Our “Culturally Curious” Series returns with a special active edition featuring alum Howie Solow ’74, the founder of Boulder’s world-renowned Shaolin Hung Mei Kung Fu! Howie is leading global expert on this traditional ancient art form and his museum-like studio is the only center in the country that teaches the Hung Mei form of Kung Fu.
In this family-friendly (children 12 and older welcome) experience, we will learn the history and culture of Kung Fu, be treated to a demonstration and take part in a workshop that will make you want to integrate these beautiful, time-honored practices into your wellness regimen.
FOMO ALERT: This experience is limited to 16 participants so register today to avoid missing out!
WHEN: Saturday, August 2 (1pm – 3pm)
WHERE: 1730-1770 38th St, Boulder, CO 80301
WHAT: This interactive and multidisciplinary participatory experience will showcase the rich heritage of traditional Chinese martial practice – their history, culture, philosophies and theories along with its variety of defense methods. Shaolin training has often been referred to as “meditation in motion,” and this experience will help tune your mindfulness and resilience.
