Location: Los Angeles, CA

Join your fellow Cornellians as we explore Annenberg Space for Photography! We’ll take a 30-minute guided tour highlighting unique features of the Annenberg Space for Photography museum. Then we’ll take an in-depth view of the “Cuba Is” exhibit. “Cuba Is” explores aspects of Cuba not easily accessed by foreigners–and sometimes not even by Cubans themselves. The Cuba seen in this exhibition goes beyond the folklore and offers new insight into its current reality. Over 120 photos feature subjects ranging from defiant youth, to the hard-partying children of the 1%, to the underground system of sharing digital content. “Cuba Is” also includes archival images by four photographers along with an original documentary. At the end of the visit, stay for an optional no-host lunch at RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen at Westfield Century City.
