Dave Garcia MBA ’18, Co-Founder, Veep  


Dave Garcia is a strategic operator and builder with nearly 20 years of leadership experience across enterprises, consultancies, and startups. He specializes in business transformation, team leadership, and product innovation. Dave is the founder of Veep, a managed marketplace on a mission to redefine how businesses engage with and deploy senior talent. 

Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of New Stand (exited to CBRE), led retail experience innovation at Verizon, and drove growth at leading design and innovation consultancies like frog. A passionate advocate for change and belonging, Dave is the former Vice Chair of WIN: Women in Innovation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

At Bloomberg LP, Manisha leads Diversity & Inclusion efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, developing strategies that foster equitable workplaces while driving measurable business impact. She brings deep expertise in strategic planning, policy development, business transformation, and data governance, with a track record of integrating DEI into core business functions.

 Risa M. Mish

Risa Mish is a professor of practice and the Day Family Senior Lecturer of Business Ethics at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. She created and teaches the MBA and Executive MBA core courses in Critical and Strategic Thinking; created and taught the Cornell-Tsinghua FMBA core course in Critical and Strategic Thinking; has taught elective courses in leadership and influence; and was the founding faculty director of the Johnson Leadership Fellows program. Mish holds many teaching excellence awards from Cornell. Mish serves as a keynote speaker and workshop leader at global, national, and regional conferences for corporations and trade associations in the consumer products, financial services, health care, high-tech, media, and manufacturing industries, on a variety of topics, including critical thinking and problem solving, persuasion and influence, and motivating optimal employee performance. Before returning to Cornell, Mish was a partner in the NYC law firm of Collazo Carling & Mish LLP (CC&M).
