The Extreme Life of the Sea: Exploring the Sea’s Most Fascinating Creatures

What are the fastest creatures in the ocean? The oldest? Where are the hottest, coldest, or deepest places that life thrives in the sea? Ocean science over the past century has uncovered an amazing collection of extreme species, living in amazing ways.

Join fellow alumni and friends as Stanford marine sciences professor Stephen Palumbi brings to life some of the sea’s most interesting creatures, with video and photos, and with insight into the range of scientific tools that tells us how they live.
