The first 40 â€‹registered guests to arrive will receive a free drink ticket.

See you there!

The History of International Zinck’s Night:

We’ll all have drinks at Theodore Zinck’s, when I get back next fall!” goes “Give My Regards to Davy,” the timeless Cornell fighting song. But just who exactly is Theodore Zinck?

Theodore Zinck was an Ithaca saloon owner whose pub, the Hotel Brunswick was a popular haunt for Cornellians in the 1890s. When he died in 1903, a series of bars on and around Collegetown adopted his name over the years. The last one closed in the 1960s, and Cornellians started commemorating the spirit of Zinck’s Night by gathering at an establishment on a Thursday night, once a year. This tradition of students and alumni coming together to enjoy camaraderie and refreshments has grown into a gathering for Cornellians of all stripes everywhere.

Date: Thursday, 10/19, 6:30-8:00 (but feel free to stay for longer!)

Location: Granny Annie’s on Roosevelt Island

A note about transportation: The F train is currently being re-routed and does not regularly stop at Roosevelt Island. There is a shuttle available from the 63rd and Lexington Q stop, but the easiest way to get to campus is via the tram on 59th/60th and 2nd avenue. The tram takes OMNY/Metrocard and will count as a transfer from either the 59th/Lex station or 63rd and Lex station.
