Please join us for a family friendly afternoon of BBQ and sheep at Branch Honey Farm, hosted by Huck ’88 and Allison O’Connor P’25.  The O’Connors and CCMD will provide a traditional BBQ lunch (pulled pork and chicken, mac and cheese, bourbon bacon baked beans, coleslaw, rolls and cornbread, non-alcoholic beverages).  Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic basket to enjoy.

Program:
We are pleased to have Professor Thomas Overton, Department Chair and Professor of Animal Science and Program Director of PRO-DAIRY, join us as our faculty speaker.  Professor Overton’s work focuses on enhancing the productive efficiency and profitability of dairy farm businesses in New York and beyond.

There will be an informal tour of the farm with the opportunity to interact with the newborn lambs.  

Guests will also be able to enjoy lawn games.

This is a non-alcoholic event.  

Branch Honey Farm is bordered by a natural body of water and there is an unfenced pool on the property.  This is NOT a swimming event, but there will be a lifeguard on duty to monitor the pool. 

All you need to bring is a picnic blanket and/or chairs. For anyone interested in getting out into the pastures, please bring boots you don’t mind getting dirty.
