About the Speakers
Moderator: Caroline Wetzel ’99 is a Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor at Procyon Partners, co-founder of the Women Owning their Wealth (WOW) Collaborative, and director on the Coastal Connecticut Cornell Club board. Caroline has worked in financial services in the U.S. and overseas for over 20 years and began specializing in wealth management for affluent multi-generational families in 2015. Caroline earned a B.S. in policy analysis and management from Cornell’s College of Human Ecology and an MBA in finance and advanced certification in marketing from the University of Connecticut School of Business. She holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designations and, also, is a trained mediator. Caroline enjoys writing articles on personal finance and has been published by Kiplinger and other media.
Valisha Graves ’85 is an Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase. She is the Senior Product Lead for the API Marketplace within Consumer & Community Banking. She has over 25 years of experience in financial services and has spent over a decade translating complex financial and data intensive problems into user centric fintech applications. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, she spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley, as a Product Manager within Equity Research, Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Enterprise Computing. Valisha was instrumental in the launch of EDIT (Enhancing Diversity in Technology), the first Wall Street forum for Black and Latino technology professionals. Valisha has a passion for education and has been a guest lecturer on Fintech Strategy at Case Western, Columbia University and UMass Lowell business schools. She is the Chair of the President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW), member of Cornell University Council, Cornell Mosaic and the Cornell Black Alumni Association (CBAA). She holds a BA in Government/International Relations from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Kamillah Knight ’13, MPA ’15, MBA ’22, is the Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Ferrero North America. At Ferrero, Kamillah is responsible for advancing the company’s global efforts on diversity in North America and helping to shape its inclusion strategy across the region. Prior to this, Kamillah was the Diversity and Inclusion Lead for Unilever North America, focused on attracting, cultivating, and elevating diverse talent. Kamillah was a student at Cornell University where she received an MPA in 2015, a BA in Economics, a BA in Sociology, a Spanish minor in 2013, and an Executive MBA in 2022, all from Cornell University. Currently Kamillah serves as the VP of Programming for the Cornell Black Alumni Association, a class officer and Class Council member for the Cornell class of 2013, a member at large of the Cornell Mosaic Steering Committee, a Director at Large for the Cornell Association of Class Officers, and a member of the Johnson Young Alumni Council.
Dr. Katie Schoenberg ’03, PhD ’10 has had a 11-year career at Elanco Animal Health, leading projects across the farm animal and pet heath product development portfolio. She holds a BS in Animal Science from Cornell University, MS in Animal and Avian Sciences from University of Maryland, and a PhD in Animal Science from Cornell University. For 5 years, Katie also served as Chair of Elanco’s Global Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council, championing DEI efforts across the company. Diversity and inclusion are also driving forces in her current role in HR where she leads strategic talent acquisition for R&D. She enjoys coaching individuals to pursue a fulfilling career path. Katie is also active in Cornell alumni activities including as Vice Chair for PCCW, is a Cornell University Council member, Co-Director for Cornell Alumni Ambassador Association, and is President-Elect of the Cornell College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association (CALSAA).
