Location: Ithaca, NY

Saturday, November 5, 2016
10:00 am – 11:30 am

We will meet at Willard Straight Hall in the International Lounge WSH414. Rod Howe, Executive Director of The History Center leads walking tour of the Arts Quad and ends back at Willard Straight Hall. Rod has a diverse educational background that covers architecture, sociology, planning, theology and history. He is passionate about Ithaca and Tompkins County as a P.L.A.C.E. for exploring our connections to people, land, architecture, culture and the environment.

We often think of history as being about important people and important dates. But history includes everyone’s narrative. With that in mind, this tour, focused on a small part of the university, will seek to engage participants with untold stories and unique perspectives that have helped the institution be a place “where any person can find instruction in any study.”

Light refreshments served.
