Bruce Lewenstein, professor of science communication, begins his term as Cornell’s 13th university ombudsman on Feb. 1. “When there’s an argument, almost always my instinct is to say, ‘Yeah, there’s something good on this side, and there’s something good on this side – can we find a way to make this work so that everybody feels that it’s a fair outcome?,’” he says.
