    Join Cornell Club Members and NYC Cornellians for a first time home buyer seminar/workshop. Learn the answers to questions you have not even thought to ask from a panel of residential real estate experts. The event will begin with cocktails and networking, and then each panelist will share their professional insight into navigating the complexities of buying a home in New York City, with Q&A to follow.
  

     Dan Gotlieb is a residential real estate broker, specializing in home purchases and sales in New York City. His company, Digs Realty Group, is a full-service residential brokerage firm with an innovative commission-sharing model for its buyer clients. Digs’ clients receive up to two thirds of the buy-side commission (up to 2% of their purchase price) cash back at closing. Prior to founding Digs, Gotlieb was the only in-house attorney for a Manhattan-based real estate asset management firm with a 25 million square foot national portfolio of Class A office, residential, and industrial properties.
    
   Justin Waiser, Esq. is a Senior Associate with William A. Slutsky, P.C., where he counsels buyers and sellers of condominiums, cooperative apartments, and single family homes in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester counties. Waiser also represents numerous cooperative and condominium buildings as general counsel, advising buildings on issues relating to transfers, service contracts, and shareholder disputes. Waiser was Assistant General Counsel with the New York State Housing Finance Agency. He received his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and completed his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.

      Scott Valins, Vice-President and Principal of Scott Capital Group is a 13-year veteran of the mortgage industry. A graduate of Cornell University, Valins prides himself on employing his deep knowledge of lending guidelines and the capital markets to help his clients navigate the challenging mortgage origination marketplace. Valins currently splits his time between Scott Capital Group’s New York and California offices, tending to his bi-coastal client base. Valins is licensed to originate loans in NY, CA, NJ, and FL.
