Please plan approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours for the docent-led walking tour and some additional time to enjoy the Gardens at your leisure.  No further discounts, coupons or Selby Gardens Guest Passes may be used.  Selby Gardens’ members must also pay admission due to the special nature of this tour.

Members’ guest privileges are also not extended for group tours.  Please note that in addition to the greenhouse exhibits, this is an outdoor walking tour.  Wheelchairs are available for use without charge on a first-come basis. Many benches are scattered throughout the Gardens for rest and contemplation.

It will include ten colorful photolithographs of flowers by Dali along with works from American photographer Clyde Butcher’s series Visions of Dali’s Spain. These artworks and the Dali-themed plant displays inspired by them will transform Selby Gardens into an evocation of Dali’s vision.

The Dali exhibition highlights the artists’ repeated use of botanical imagery alongside a surreal display of tropical plants in Selby Gardens Tropical Conservatory and Gardens.  Photos of Dali’s beloved Catalonia by renowned nature photographer and local Sarasota County resident, Clyde Butcher, will showcase the extraordinary landscapes visible in several FlorDali pieces and in much of Dali’s art.
