THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT

Chanticleer, a pleasure garden, is known as one of the most romantic, imaginative, and intimate public gardens in the U.S. The garden is a study of textures and forms: where foliage trumps flowers, the gardeners lead the design, and even the drinking fountains are sculptural. The concept of variety, innovation, and edginess in horticulture takes on new dimension at Chanticleer. The former Rosengarten estate opened to the public in 1993, and through efforts of the staff and horticulturists has developed into a place that “has panache and ingenuity” according to Robin Lane Fox of the Financial Times.

Join us for an insiders’ tour with 3 Cornell alumni who are part of Chanticleer’s professional staff: Erin McKeon, Carla Hetzel, and Eric Hsu. We will meet at 10:00 for a tour of the grounds, followed by a BYO picnic in Chanticleer’s picnic greenhouse. (The picnic greenhouse is convenient to the parking lot, so you may leave your picnic food and beverages in your car during the tour.)

Please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk on a mix of asphalt and gravel paths. This event is rain or shine, but will be cancelled in the event of severe weather conditions.
