Join fellow Cornellian Melissa Aellen ’13 for a guided hike through preserved woods and the vineyards at her family’s winery, Linganore Winecellars. You’ll learn the history of winemaking in Maryland and the vineyard practices they employ to ensure success for future generations. The hike will be about 2-3 miles at a pace set by the group. Afterwards, there will be a short tour of their production facilities followed by a tasting of 5 wines. By the time the tour and tasting is complete, the live music and food trucks will have arrived, and folks could plan to spend some time relaxing afterwards.  

Our special event is limited to 40 participants ages 21 and over. Family and friends are welcome to join CCMD members. The tour will begin promptly at 11:00 am, so we ask that participants arrive by 10:45 am. If it rains, we will proceed, but instead of a hike, we will enjoy a barrel tasting instead.
