Cornell Club of Southwest Florida September, 2025 Lunch and Learn Series, features Marco Island Historical Society CEO Pat Rutledge, speaking of World Famous Key Marco Cat, on loan from the Smithsonian through April, 2026.
We will gather, reconnect, network with fellow Southwest Florida Cornell and learn about the Key Marco Cat and the Marco Island Historical Society.
The September, 2025 Lunch and Learn Series will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 11:30am -1:30pm in a private room at Ridgway Bar & Grill at 1300 3rd St South, #101, Naples, FL 34102
We will offer a three-course lunch with wonderful choices. The price, including food, tax and gratuity is $45.
We will all learn about the incredible Key Marco Cat: Carved from native hardwood, the Key Marco Cat was created some 500 to 1,500 years ago by Southwest Florida’s early Calusa people or their Muspa ancestors.
Discovered on Key Marco in 1896 during a Smithsonian sponsored archaeological expedition led by archaeologist and anthropologist Frank Hamilton Cushing.
Join fellow Cornell alumni. Please ask any questions about the event to Lisa Kremer Ullmann at lkremerullmann@gmail.com.
