“The Board of Trustees must make the difficult choices necessary to address Cornell’s immediate challenges while preserving and even amplifying the values we recognize as the Cornell ethos—purposeful discovery, free and open inquiry and expression, a community of belonging, explorations across boundaries, changing lives through public engagement, and respect for the natural environment.”

Biographical sketch

I am a first generation Cornellian. My time at Cornell prepared me for a career that I couldn’t have imagined the day I graduated. As a scientist, entrepreneur and business leader, I work with companies ranging from venture-backed start-ups through ‘Fortune 50’ international corporations in the agriculture, food and life sciences sectors. I serve on the boards of several for-profit and non-profit organizations and have been elected or appointed to numerous leadership positions requiring pragmatism and cultural sensitivity. My husband, Stephen Osborn ’84, and I founded and operate Stoutridge Vineyard, an award-winning vineyard, farm winery and distillery in the Hudson Valley.
