New member orientation

Important information and resources for new members

Welcome to the Cornell University Council!

As a Cornell University Council member, you serve as an Ambassador to the University. Ambassadors are informed and enthusiastic advocates who are empowered to share information about Cornell to volunteer organizations, prospective students, alumni groups, at local events and even to friends and neighbors.

Ambassador update

An important part of the ambassador process is recording your activity in an Ambassador Update. Recording updates help staff and volunteer leaders stay informed on Council activity and measure impact for strategic planning. It’s also an expectation of being a Council member.
