SUMMARY:The 2025 International Spirit of Zinck's Night in Switzerland
DESCRIPTION:The Cornell Club of Switzerland warmly invites you to join us for International Zinck’s Night 2025\, on Thursday\, 16 October 2025\, at 18:30\, a tradition that unites Cornellians worldwide in honor of Theodore Zinck\, the legendary Ithaca saloonkeeper whose tavern was a beloved gathering place for students in the late 19th century. But just who exactly is Theodore Zinck?  \nTheodore Zinck was an Ithaca saloon owner whose pub\, the Hotel Brunswick\, was a popular haunt for Cornellians in the 1890s. When he died in 1903\, a series of bars on and around Collegetown adopted his name over the years. The last one closed in the 1960s\, and Cornellians started commemorating the spirit of Zinck’s Night by gathering at an establishment on a Thursday night\, once a year.
