DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again! Join your fellow alumni and Cornell friends for an evening celebrating the International Spirit of Zinck’s Night! We’re gathering again at Vino Cultura in Nicosia. We hope to see you there! \nDATE: Wednesday\, October 22\, 2025\nTIME: 7:00pm local time in Nicosia\nLOCATION: Vino Cultura\, Kyriakou Matsi 20\, Nicosia 1082\, Cyprus\nCOST: Pay as you go\nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Sunday\, October 12\nQUESTIONS: Contact Haris Iacovidou at iharis@hotmail.com \n \nTHE HISTORY BEHIND THE INTERNATIONAL SPIRIT OF ZINCK’S NIGHT. HOW IT ALL BEGAN.  \n\n\n“We’ll all have drinks at Theodore Zinck’s\, when I get back next fall!†goes “Give My Regards to Davy\,†the timeless Cornell fighting song. But just who exactly is Theodore Zinck?  \nTheodore Zinck was an Ithaca saloon owner whose pub\, the Hotel Brunswick\, was a popular haunt for Cornellians in the 1890s. When he died in 1903\, a series of bars on and around Collegetown adopted his name over the years. The last one closed in the 1960s\, and Cornellians started commemorating the spirit of Zinck’s Night by gathering at an establishment on a Thursday night\, once a year.
