Talent & People Processes: Accelerating Start-Up Value!

A Cornell ILR Alum’s Perspective

Why are some Start-ups more successful than others? How is their focus different? Why are some companies better positioned for Funding Rounds? Ask VC’s/PE’s and Investment Bankers. Too often taken for granted, talent and people practices greatly impact growth, stability, risk and enterprise valuation.
Our Keynote speaker will draw on 40+ deals, 10 carve-outs and several buy-side transaction experiences to deliver a unique perspective for business owners, entrepreneurs and employees.

Mark Nechita,
’81 ILR, is an expert in human capital and talent management, continuous process improvement and transformational change management for M&A, IPO and Start-Ups. After Cornell, Mark learned HR excellence from the industry leaders. Later he applied those insights to start-ups ranging from Seed to Series C, and to lower middle market companies with up to 5500 personnel across 70 countries. Mark has helped architect operating models and teams at several companies, one of which Forbes recognized as “a Top 20 Best Small Company and a Best Place to Work.” Currently, Mark is an Executive Practitioner providing Entrepreneur Advisory Services at ACT4Value.
