DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Cornellians and friends for the annual International Spirit of Zinck’s Night! This special evening brings together alumni across the globe to celebrate Cornell’s rich traditions and community. Whether you’re a long-time Delhi NCR resident\, have just moved back or visiting briefly\, we welcome you to join us for a night of camaraderie\, networking\, memories\, and kicking-off the local festive season. \n \nDon’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to connect with fellow alumni and embrace the Cornell spirit.  \nPlease register with intention. If your plans change\, please let the host know promptly\, as seats are limited.\n \nDATE: Tuesday\, October 6\, 2026\nTIME: 7:00-9:00pm IST\nLOCATION: Grammie\, Ground Floor\, Sangam Courtyard\, G01/G02\, Major Somnath Marg\, KD Colony\, Sector 9\, RK Puram\, New Delhi\, Delhi\, 110022\nCOST: Food and beverages will be on an individual payment basis. Attendees will receive a complimentary welcome mocktail.\nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday\, October 1\n \nTHE HISTORY BEHIND THE INTERNATIONAL SPIRIT OF ZINCK’S NIGHT. HOW IT ALL BEGAN. \n \n“We’ll all have drinks at Theodore Zinck’s\, when I get back next fall!†goes “Give My Regards to Davy\,†the timeless Cornell fighting song. But just who exactly is Theodore Zinck?  \nTheodore Zinck was an Ithaca saloon owner whose pub\, the Hotel Brunswick\, was a popular haunt for Cornellians in the 1890s. When he died in 1903\, a series of bars on and around Collegetown adopted his name over the years. The last one closed in the 1960s\, and Cornellians started commemorating the spirit of Zinck’s Night by gathering at an establishment on a Thursday night\, once a year. This tradition of undergraduates coming together to enjoy camaraderie and refreshments has grown into a gathering for Cornellians of all stripes everywhere.
