SUMMARY:Colorado: Pole Vault Like a Track Star with Cassidy Cheesman '24
DESCRIPTION:TRAIN LIKE A TRACK STAR: \nRAISE THE BAR! \nIntroducing Train Like a Track Star: Learn to pole vault with former Cornell standout Cassidy Cheesman ’24 and world-class coach and former professional pole vaulter Pat Manson.\nSome Saturday plans deserve a running start. \nOn Saturday\, November 7\, the Cornell Club of Colorado launches “Train Like a Track Star\,” a new series bringing our community together to move\, learn and discover what we’re capable of—with exceptional athletes leading the way. \nFirst up: pole vaulting! \nJoin former Cornell track and field standout Cassidy Cheesman ’24 and former professional pole vaulter Pat Manson\, a National Pole Vault Summit Club Coach of the Year\, at Above the Bar in Longmont. This world-class training facility counts fellow Cornellians among its local members. For one exhilarating afternoon\, we’re joining them. \nYOUR AFTERNOON\, ELEVATED (literally!) \n\nTrain with a Cornellian. Start with a guided workout led by Cassidy to get moving and ready for the runway.\nLearn from the pros. Watch live demonstrations and discover the technique behind one of track and field’s most thrilling events.\nTake your first vault. Get hands-on instruction and a chance to discover why “one more try” becomes the afternoon’s favorite phrase.\nFind your cheering section. Bring a date. Bring your kids. Bring a friend who’s always up for something new.\nKeep the good times going. Afterward\, we’ll gather for dinner\, drinks and a toast to trying something extraordinary together.\n\nA LITTLE BIG RED HISTORY. A LITTLE PERSONAL HISTORY IN THE MAKING. \nCornell’s pole-vaulting legacy includes Olympic gold: Edward Cook\, Class of 1910\, shared the title at the 1908 London Games. More than a century later\, we’re borrowing a little of that spirit: curiosity\, courage and a community cheering you on. Your first vault deserves applause\, too. \nWHAT: Train Like a Track Star — Pole Vaulting\nWHERE: Above the Bar at The Athlete Hub • 1623 Vista View Drive\, Longmont\, CO\nWHEN: Saturday\, November 7 • 4:30–6:00 p.m. • Dinner and drinks afterward\nPRICE: $27 for young alumni and kids • $34 general admission\nCAPACITY: *Strictly limited to 14 guests \nFOMO ALERT: Please register today! \nWHY GO?
