SUMMARY:Colorado: Meet the Maker: An Evening w/ Master Luthier Juan A. Mijares
DESCRIPTION:🎻 Where Wood Becomes Music \n\nMeet the Maker: An Intimate Evening with Master Luthier Juan A. Mijares \nAn old-world workshop. A master’s touch. Just 10 guests. \nMusic and culture lovers\, curious souls\, and anyone captivated by people who make extraordinary things with their hands: this one is for you. \nStep inside Juan A. Mijares’s violin shop and into a world that feels suspended in time—a master craftsperson’s workshop where patience\, precision\, and artistry turn wood into something capable of moving us. \nFor this exclusive experience\, just 10 guests will spend an evening with the legendary luthier profiled by NPR\, exploring his craft\, hearing his stories\, and witnessing the remarkable journey from wood to instrument. \nAnd then\, we’ll hear that craftsmanship come alive: a master player will make music on one of Juan’s own creations. \n✨ WHAT: An evening inside the art of violin making. \n🚪 Step behind the scenes for a tour of Juan’s workshop.\n🪵 Watch the craft unfold with a demonstration of the violin-making process.\n💬 Ask the maker about his techniques\, inspirations\, and life at the workbench.\n🎻 Hear the artistry as a master player brings one of Juan’s instruments to life.\n🷠Savor the company over wine\, light snacks\, and conversation. \nðŸ—“ï¸ WHEN: Friday\, November 13\, 2026 | 6:00 p.m.\n📠WHERE: J. Mijares Violins | Colorado Springs\nA shop that feels like stepping back in time to a master craftsperson’s workshop.\n👥 WHO: Music lovers\, culture seekers\, craftsmanship enthusiasts—and the people you love discovering things with. \nCome solo\, bring a date\, or invite a friend. No musical knowledge required. Just curiosity and a willingness to be transported. \n💫 WHY: Because hearing a beautiful instrument is one thing. Meeting the hands that made it—and then hearing it sing—is something you’ll carry with you. \nThis is a rare chance to get close to a craft most of us encounter only from a concert seat\, in a setting small enough for real conversation. \nðŸŽŸï¸ REGISTRATION: $29 per person. Intentionally limited to 10 guests.\nThe small group is part of what makes this evening special: room to gather around the workbench\, ask questions\, and connect with the maker and one another.
