For over 50 years, the Big Red Marching Band has brought the Cornell spirit to New York City through the biennial Sy Katz ’31 Parade, affectionately known as “the shortest parade with the longest history.”

Join Corey Ryan Earle ’07 for this webinar on the history of the marching band and to learn about how the parade tradition began back in 1972. Corey teaches AMST 2001: The First American University, a popular undergraduate course about Cornell history.

Sponsored by the Northeast Corridor, Office of Alumni Affairs.

This year’s Sy Katz ’31 Parade will be on Saturday, November 23, after the Cornell-Columbia football game. Learn more about the parade here.
