SUMMARY:CCNEO: Cleveland (Cornell Dinner Club @ EDWINS)
DESCRIPTION:DATE: Friday\, March 6\, 2026\nTIME: 7:00pm\nLOCATION: EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute\, 12383 Cedar Rd\, Cleveland Heights\, OH 44106 \n  \nEDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute is a nationally recognized nonprofit with a powerful mission: to transform lives through the hospitality industry while strengthening Cleveland’s most vulnerable communities. EDWINS provides formerly incarcerated adults with rigorous culinary and hospitality training\, paired with the comprehensive support network needed for a successful reentry into society. Its holistic campus includes not only a restaurant and culinary school\, but also housing\, childcare\, and a free clothing store\, addressing the real-world barriers that often stand in the way of long-term success.\n \nFounded by Brandon Chrostowski\, EDWINS has become an international model for social impact. In 2025\, Chrostowski was honored with the James Beard Foundation’s Impact Award\, recognizing his visionary leadership and commitment to building a more equitable and sustainable food system. Since opening its doors in 2013\, EDWINS has achieved extraordinary results: among thousands of graduates\, the program boasts a recidivism rate of less than 1% – a powerful testament to the effectiveness of dignity\, education\, and opportunity. \nThis inspiring blend of excellence\, service\, and innovation makes EDWINS a fitting\, and distinctly Cornellian\, venue to launch our Cornell Dining Club series. We are thrilled to gather as alumni in a space that embodies our shared values: leadership\, community impact\, and using one’s education to change the world for the better. \nPlease note: This is a pay-your-own-way dining event. Each guest will be responsible for their individual food and beverage purchases.
