Event Details

Calling all burgeoning Michelangelos and wanna-be Warhols – join us on November 20th for an evening of art, creativity, making new friends, and good ol’ Big Red camaraderie. Unlike your typical “sip-and-paint” event, YOU choose what you paint! Guests can customize the photo subject, color scheme, and vision for a completely unique and personalized tableau you’ll love to have on display at home. Your instructor is Nancy Halfmann, owner and creative genius behind Pit & Co. Creative, a Denver-based artist who creates custom-commissioned art, murals, and hosts paint parties and classes.

You’ll learn the basics of painting and receive custom support and direction as you go. Want to paint something else? No problem! Here are a few other subject ideas to spark your imagination: – A beloved pet – A family photo – A view of your home – Your favorite city skyline – A beautiful flower arrangement *IMPORTANT* Participants must send the photo of their portrait subject to mmn47@cornell.edu by Wednesday, November 13th so our instructor has enough time to sketch and prep their canvas before the event.
