Have you ever wondered what a Taco made by Mario Batali’s former Chef de Cuisine would taste like? Well Hi-Lo has your answer!

Featured at the 2024 Best of Philly Soiree, Hi-Lo Taco is quickly becoming Philadelphia’s go-to place for all things BIG flavor. Owned by Jeff Newman ’10 & Lauren Jordan ’12, husband and wife Cornellians, Hi-Lo has curated a special menu for CALC attendees looking to make new friends over some mouthwatering tacos & Tecate!

For starters, we open with shrimp ceviche Verde chips with outstanding queso & guacamole.

Next up, we have an exquisite selection of tacos featuring Mycopolitan mushroom asada tacos, crispy cheese tacos, grilled Mahi Mahi & fennel-orange slaw tacos, and lastly, chicken fajita tacos. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are available for all tacos upon request.

For dessert, we will have spiced brownie bites with chili syrup. You can’t forget about the margs! A ticket to the Family-Style Dinner @ Hi-Lo Taco also comes with your choice of a specialty Hi-Lo house margarita, house wine, or Tecate. Additional beverages will be available for purchase as well.

There are only 67 spots available so we hope you will join us at Hi-Lo Taco during the other fabulous CALC event held close by at the Morton Contemporary Gallery!

Jeff’s Quote on CCGP Meaning:
As a new business owner in the area, I’ve found CCGP to be incredibly supportive. CCGP is a community of people that frequent our restaurant and bring us business.  I’m especially grateful CCGP has proactive leadership that is genuinely interested in helping my business and spreading the word about who we are and what we do.
