DESCRIPTION:  \nDATE: Saturday\, July 11\, 2026\nTIME: 9:00am – 12:00pm\nLOCATION: Forest Restoration in Perkerson Park\, 770 Deckner Ave SW\, Atlanta\, GA 30310 \nOur upcoming Summer Cornell Cares event at Perkerson Park will focus on promoting a healthy plant community and a sustainable forest. Our efforts will improve the habitat for both recreational users and local wildlife. Forest restoration activities will include safe hand-pulling and cutting invasive species—such as English ivy\, Chinese privet\, and kudzu. Please be aware that this work requires physical activity\, including bending\, pulling\, lifting\, and kneeling. \nVisit the registration page for Cornell Alumni Association of Atlanta. It contains detailed information about the project\, including the meeting location.\nEach confirmed volunteer will need to sign-up individually for the project using the link by July 1st.  \nPlease wear long pants and long sleeves and bring a water bottle.
