DESCRIPTION:  \nCornell Club of Delhi warmly invites you for an enriching afternoon conversation and exclusive screening with Anisa Draboo MRP ’05\, Executive Producer of the award-winning Netflix Series “Black Warrant”. \nAnisa is the Co-Founder of Confluence Media\, a Global South–facing storytelling hub producing platform-agnostic creative content. A 2005 Cornell graduate and an International Ford Foundation Fellow\, she has produced documentaries and podcasts for the BBC\, Discovery\, Spotify and Radio Azim Premji. Before co-founding Confluence Media\, Anisa spent two decades in development policy and impact practice in leadership roles at Oxfam\, Landesa\, and the World Bank. Originally from Kashmir\, she is currently working on her debut non-fiction book on the region\, culminating a decade of research.  \nAnisa will share first-hand insights gleaned while producing this riveting TV series that is based on India’s prison system (don’t worry if you haven’t watched the show before!). Drawing on her experience as both a documentary film producer and city planner\, she will also reflect on stories where humanity cuts through as a quiet\, steady light\, and as a Cornell alumni will share what went into co-founding her company ‘Confluence Media’.\n \nThis gathering will open with introduction\, screening-led remarks\, followed by a meaningful discussion and time to socialize over food and drinks.\n \nAttendees can look forward to:\n \n\nReconnecting with one another as Cornellians \nLearning about exciting work fellow alumni are doing \nAsking thoughtful questions and engaging directly with Anisa \nCelebrating the pride of being part of the Cornell community\n\nThis event is open to Ivy League Plus alumni in Delhi\, India.  \nRegistrants may bring one guest along.
