DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your interest in Zinck’s Night 2026. We have cancelled the event for this year and will see you in 2027! \n  \nThe International Spirit of Zinck’s Night is an annual celebration to revel in all things Cornelliana with fellow alumni around the world. All Greater Philadelphia Cornellians and friends are welcome to partake! \nWe are thrilled to celebrate with everyone at McGillin’s Olde Ale House\, owned and operated by fellow Cornellian\, Chris Mullins (’97)! He has graciously agreed to host this wonderful tradition.  \nEvent Details:Date: Thursday\, October 15\, 2026Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.Location: McGillin’s Olde Ale House (second floor) – 1310 Drury St\, Philadelphia\, PA 19107Cost: $45 per person \nHistory of Zinck’s Night: \nTheodore Zinck was an Ithaca saloon owner who operated the Hotel Brunswick on Aurora Street (known as “Zinck’s”) from 1879-1903. His establishment was a popular hangout for Cornellians\, with several proprietors later borrowing the Zinck’s name after his death until 1967. Ever since\, Cornellians have been gathering for an evening of camaraderie on the third Thursday evening of October to honor the Spirit of Zinck’s Night that we know and love today. \nHistory of our host location: \nShortly after the Liberty Bell cracked and long before ground was broken for City Hall\, McGillin’s Olde Ale House threw open its doors. Its beer taps have been flowing since 1860–making it the oldest continuously operating tavern in Philadelphia. McGillin’s has outlasted Strawbridge’s\, the Civil War\, and even Prohibition. McGillin’s celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2010.  \nRegistration includes a wrist-band giving access to a hot and cold buffet and 3-hour open bar of domestic draft beer\, house wine\, and house liquors.
