The Cornellians<\/em> staff can\u2019t wait to see you at the annual Homecoming celebration, set for the last weekend in September!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a smashingly successful post-pandemic return in 2022, Homecoming 2023<\/a> is poised to welcome thousands back to campus amid a sea of Big Red spirit on September 29\u201330.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free events like the fireworks and laser light show are once again on tap, and tickets are available for favorites like the Big Red football game (vs. Colgate), the Glee Club and Chorus concert, and the Cornell Concert Commission show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And most excitingly for us: Cornellians<\/em> staff will be again hosting a treat-laden table at the Big Red Fan Festival on Saturday\u2014and we can\u2019t wait to meet many more of our readers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following last year\u2019s wildly popular activity\u2014\u201cWhat Does Cornell Mean to You, In Five Words or Less?<\/a>\u201d\u2014we\u2019ll be asking alumni and students to wield a Sharpie in response to a new prompt: \u201cWhat Makes Cornell Feel Like Home to You?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will be rewarded with what promises to be the weekend\u2019s hottest swag: gray-and-red-striped, Cornellians<\/em>-branded knit caps, as well as Frisbees. (Come early; they\u2019ll go fast!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll be asking alumni, \u201cWhat Makes Cornell Feel Like Home to You?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And stop by our adjacent video booth to record your response\u2014which may be featured in our story coverage!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Homecoming highlights include appearances by the Big Red Marching Band and Touchdown\u2014not to mention the rare opportunity to take a selfie with campus celebrity Minnie the miniature horse<\/a> (at the Fan Fest, held in the Crescent Lot next to Schoellkopf).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course, there\u2019s the chance meet and reconnect with old friends, ingest some Cornell Dairy ice cream, and soak up what will (hopefully) be gorgeous early fall weather on the Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weekend will also feature myriad other activities, including an alumni golf outing; Big Red soccer, volleyball, and ice hockey games; the Schwartz Cup rowing race on the inlet; and various open houses, receptions, tours, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
