Bill Schutt, PhD \u201995<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A zoologist, Schutt is an emeritus professor of biology at Long Island University and a research associate at the American Museum of Natural History. Here, he offers (in the words of the subtitle) a \u201cnatural history of the heart<\/a>.\u201d Says Publishers Weekly<\/em> in a starred review: \u201cThe author successfully pairs accessible science with strong storytelling, describing how Greek, Egyptian, and medieval scholars helped advance human knowledge (and at times misled it). The result is informative, playful, and impossible to put down.\u201d Schutt\u2019s previous nonfiction books include Cannibalism: A Perfectly Natural History<\/em> and Dark Banquet: Blood and the Curious Lives of Blood-Feeding Creatures<\/em>, named one of the best books of 2008 by Library Journal <\/em>and Amazon.
