Cornell alumni voted during the month of February to elect two new alumni representatives to the Cornell University Board of Trustees. Four candidates appeared on the ballot.

The new alumni-elected trustees are Cynthia Cuffie ’74 of Far Hills, New Jersey and Lorette Simon Gross ’89, MBA ’90 of Beverly Hills, California.

“We are proud to have offered an exceptionally qualified slate of diverse candidates that provided alumni worldwide with terrific choices to consider in casting their ballot,” said William Barrett JD ’92, chair of the Committee on Alumni Trustee Nominations.

In a time of great change in higher education, said Barrett, it is more important than ever for Cornell alumni to participate in choosing trustees to represent alumni interests in the university decision-making process.

Cuffie and Simon Gross begin their four-year terms on July 1.
