The Shortest Parade with the Longest History in New York City

When Cornell plays Columbia on our rival's turf, Cornellians take to the streets of New York!
Sy Katz ’31, an avid supporter of all things red and white, fell in love with the Big Red Band in the 1970s. He decided that Cornell’s band needed its own parade. With the help of friends at the Cornell Club, he managed to get a police permit to march one city block. Over the years, the tradition has taken on a life of its own, but the mission remains the same: to give the band a time to shine.
Come out and make some noise, share some fun, and show the Big Apple what the Big Red is made of! (Kazoos and pom-poms will be available!)
The Game
Kickoff: 12:30 p.m.
Columbia University, The Lawrence A. Wein Stadium, 216th St. at Broadway
Tickets are $10, and all Cornell seating is general admission.
How to get tickets:
- Order online from Columbia University
- Buy them at the Stadium on game day
Need a ride?
- A charter bus leaves the Cornell Club at 11:00 a.m. & returns immediately after the game
- Cost: $20

5:15-7:00 p.m.
From St. Patrick's Cathedral (5th Ave. at 50th St.) to The Cornell Club-New York (44th St. at 5th Ave.)

New York State Governor David A. Paterson and Cornell's Vice President for University Relations, Glenn C. Altschuler

Cornell Club Post-Game Party
Gather with old friends or make new ones at the Cornell Club's post-game "tailgate party" in the Ivy Room! Enjoy a taste of Ithaca with Hot Truck sandwiches, a slider bar, "Big Red" wine, and Ithaca Beer.
- Adults: $28 per person (includes one drink)
- Children: $18 per person
- Tap & Grill open to all
